I have been working at Target full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people, great infrastructure and technology

    Cons

No care or concern for people. No work life balance. Payroll cut to the extreme, while increasing expectations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop taking your 25 million bonuses, and invest a little more in having enough labor to serve the guests adequately.

I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

There's always something to do. If you look for things to do in the store, time will fly very fast.

    Cons

Some managers are nice but others can be unfair.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

10% discount but u must use cash or target red card to get employee discount. The store itself is nice to work in because its kept clean, updated and its bright and colorful. Its the corporate blah blah blah that ruins the environment. Its great to work here part-time like 25hrs or less. Anymore than that and u will go crazy.

    Cons

There is not enough room to write everything thats horrible about working here. Its a dead end job with nothing to offer you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being corporate a-holes and give the hard workers some real raises instead of that 20cents bull..

I worked at Target full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The co-workers were nice and friendly to each other and to the guest that came through the door. Always helping each other, either to go help in the front or to find items. It was a good first time work experience.

    Cons

Some guest were rude (but that in any retail place). Sometimes we had to stay late because of another department not having anything done.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The team members make the difference in how hard or easy the job is. The motto " speed is life" is no joke, you are practically running from the time you clock in until you clock out.

    Cons

The pay is pretty good, but the raises are almost nonexistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask team members if they would like to work in different areas of the store, instead of hiring outside of the company promote from within.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Team work is the best part about the job. Flexibility with the schedule is great. Balanced workplace.

    Cons

Hours can drop out of nowhere
Depending on how big the store is, it can get busy with customers and picking up items laying around everywhere.
Not all team leaders are good some are lazy and some just walk around the store doing nothing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Team Leaders should try to put more effort into to helping every part of the store. Checking lanes, guest service, backroom, hard and soft lines, and definitely the strays.

    Pros

The employee discount was a great benefit and the ability to pick up shifts. Great locations, they focus on growth and are there to help you.

    Cons

The interaction with needy customers. The rigorous work that they demand. Work late into night to get the store in shape for the next day.
