I worked at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

More options to explore and you can change your profile as per your will. You may have to wait for a few months to a year but there is always option to choose.
Numerous resources available to learn and enhance your skill if you have the interest.
Good for fresher to start a career.
More onsite opportunity if you have contacts or luck.

    Cons

Less pay compare to market standard.
Too much politics and if you are not watchful then you are gone.
Not all projects are on cutting edge tech and you may end up doing conventional stuff.
Too much buttering and more stress is on quantity rather than quality work.
There are very few managers with good management skills and probability of ending up under someone who is from the 2nd category is huge. So get your contacts and buttering skills honed, as they can only rescue you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please do not choose Quantity over Quality as it will not help in long term.
Try to correct the loopholes in performance measurement to help employees who are facing the grudge and biased decision of Supervisors during H1 and H2.. May be implement 360 degree review system and peer review.
More trusted grievance capture and addressing process is required.
