I worked at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are in India, they have a pretty good Health Insurance Coverage.

    Cons

    1) Project Managers and Senior Executives are the worst, they do a lot of politics, do not encourage software talent because this company does not have any technical ladder.
    2) Managers have a tremendous bad attitude and are not at all courteous.
    3) At one time it used to be a very stable company but its not true any more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Please try and retain Senior Technical Resources who are normally victims of bad and politicized rating system in place, if you want to make it fair, let that be 360 degree.
    2) Support projects might be giving you a lot of revenues at present, but in the long term, the reputation of the company will be such that no client will give any job to develop business solutions.

I worked at Tata Consultancy Services

    Pros

If you are lucky, you can placed in a very good project.

    Cons

Everything is luck based in this company and never talent based. So Whether or not you are talented doesnt work out here unless may be it will take another 4-5 years to prove someone and take a good project and by that time your career is almost declining.

I worked at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities to work with different clients.

    Cons

When it comes to employee benefits and privileges (especially travel, accommodation, etc.) preference is shown to employees relocating from India. Relocation assistance is pitiful, if a project requires moving to another location. No consideration for personnel information when an HR rep speaks to employees over the phone. Everyone in the vicinity of the HR rep can hear all details of the employee being reprimanded or shown the door.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please make sure the treatment of employees, either local (US) or from India, is equal.
