Overall a great time working here but it had it's prices.

Store Manager (Former Employee) New York, NY

    ProsQuirky training
    High employee discount %
    Flexible hours and availability granted
    Beautiful store locations/environments

    ConsLong hours
Employees expected to work later than scheduled
    Trickle down effect demoralizing
Management and business leaders are aggressive and often unfriendly

Advice to Senior ManagementSpeak the same language and practices. Your staff can feel weighed down and discouraged when management is upset, be more discreet with Emotions.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Prosbrand is quirky & fun
    clothes sell themselves
company is becoming more organized, great benefits
    bonuses paid out monthly

Consquality of clothing is an issue
disorganized in getting right product mix for markets
buyers are in UK, not in touch with local market's needs
very low pay in comparison to other retailers
very political & favoritism runs rampant

Advice to Senior Managementshop managers should have a larger day in regards to the product the need versus what they receive. paying the right people more will keep them happier in the long run.

    Terrible Middle MGMT

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsGREAT discount... unless you work in a Bloomingdale's concession

ConsTerrible middle management, no direction or stock control.

Advice to Senior ManagementFigure out what your doing with the Bloomingdale's concessions because it was not possible making the daily sales goals set for us

I have meet great people there!

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Manchester, England (UK)

    Pros-great working atmosphere
-I became very good friends with most of the people I worked with
-really fun trainings (in the mornings, few times a week- I am not sure they still do it)
-good discount for clothes plus twice a year clothing allowance for sales staff
    -staff parties

Cons-our manager was really petty and loved some people while literally hating others. She made my day really horrible, silly comments and stuff, didn't allow the clothes we wanted for uniform, changed dates and hours without telling us and later blamed people for being late.
NOT A GOOD MANAGEMENT STYLE overall.
-not many opportunities to get some experience in HO (once you work in a store)

Advice to Senior Managementmake it easier for employees to change stores they work in

    Strong initial learning process

ConsDut to the company's size it's very hard to get noticed by the people at the top
    Poor career encouragement

Advice to Senior ManagementHave more interest in staff to be able to promote internally

Okay company but could be better

    Sales Associate (Current Employee)

Prosconcessions are in luxury department stores (good for CV), friendly colleagues, high staff turnover (always jobs available), employee discount

Consbad management, high staff turnover (always dealing with newbies who don't know the ropes), have to pay for expensive uniform, bad pay (we are the lowest paid workers in the luxury department stores), not paid overtime (paid in holidays instead which is a hassle)

Advice to Senior Management3 items of uniform should be given to full-time staff for free, 1 item should be given to part-timers, up pay packet by at least a euro an hour, stop nonsense with paying in holidays, pay bonuses in such a way that we are not taxed on them, restructure your management, organise rotas one month in advance, don't allow staff to "cover" in another store(as I have been doing for the past while)

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
