Overall a wonderful company

Sales Associate (Former Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I worked at Ted Baker London part-time for less than a year

ProsThis is fun company that's great to work for. There's a lot of support and individual recognition. Wit and knowledge are at the core of the company. Product knowledge and seminars are often and thorough.

ConsThe pay could be better. The location that I worked at needed a stronger leader.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Challenging from lease space perspective

Sales Associate (Former Employee)
Chevy Chase, MD

ProsTed does have a great company culture, although in the US it can be a bit overwhelming. Managers are always willing to help and they want to see you grow, but only within Ted Baker. If you do not have a great team around you, it can be difficult because Ted is all about the team.

ConsThe team based learning can either work in your favor or make your experience miserable. It is hard to balance selling while completing the company workbooks that must be completed. The product can be difficult to sell in the U.S. market.

Enjoyable part time job, with benefits and great site locations.

Part Time Sales Assistant (Former Employee)
Manchester, England (UK)

I worked at Ted Baker London part-time for more than a year

ProsFantastic training scheme, brilliant staff (friendly, sociable, helpful - on the whole), great site locations - city centres and concessions, good staff discount - well paid - largely on trend.

ConsManagement styles can be wildly different - Which affects the way you work as an individual and as a team. This store is very sales focussed which can sometimes leave the customer feeling annoyed. I always found that the most important thing was to provide a good service with or without a sale. That way the customer remembers you and then remembers the brand. This, I think, Ted Baker lacks quite a bit.

Takes a while to progress in the company even if you are very good.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on service even if its not going to lead to a sale.
