    Some business are going down

    Software Engineer (Current Employee)

    ProsFree food, fruits.
Most of the coworkers are helpful and understand their job quite well.
    HR become better and better.

ConsSomeone who moved from China to U.S. brought some bad habit and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the high level manager could be easily fooled by such people.

Advice to Senior ManagementGo talk to more engineers.

    It's a hardworking company

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsDecent benefits and had access to free food on a consistent basis which is great because there's no lunch places nearby.

ConsA lot of the management issues have been solved after I left but going through the IPO time was pretty turbulent.

Good people, but management not willing to change and improve the process

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsI met many very smart people while working there, lots of employee perks (bagels and donuts, morning fresh fruit, company sponsored lunches), great benefits.

ConsTheir development process was broken, but management was unwilling to change the status quo. They felt that their process worked even though they had many deployment and quality issues. They laid off many folks who were working hard to make improvements to the Development process, because they were "rocking the boat"

Advice to Senior ManagementLearn about modern development practices, the company could be great if only you would consider some process changes

Inconsistent Hiring even though company is losing money

    Developer (Current Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsGood hearted, hard working, nice colleagues.
    Lots free food.

ConsComplete lack of process. Empire building and continuous hiring by executives whose groups do not earn money for the company. Senior executives do nothing to end this- even developer can see. So much politicks by senior executives and other Senior execs don't know or too scared to do anything?

Advice to Senior ManagementWhy allowing groups that do not earn money for the company to grow? Don't be afraid to direct resources and hiring ONLY to groups that earn money or provide vital services for the company. Why you need a VP of HR and many people in HR when company is shrinking? When the company is losing money. why do Finance, facilities, consumer group and HR need so many employees?

Hard to work with outsourced teams

Engineering Manager (Former Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsGood pay. Interesting technology. Co-workers are all very nice.

ConsToo much reliance on China teams - makes it hard to coordinate effort.

Advice to Senior ManagementLess outsourcing, or outsource a entire component, instead of half China - half US for every team.

    Poor Structure

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Sunnyvale, CA

ProsThe company provided great benefits. They match up to 4% for 401K, They reimburse you for gym memberships, and serve food every Wednesday

ConsIt was hard working in a company where they did not listen to customer needs. Working on the front line, it made it hard to deal with customers when you had to constantly tell them that things were not being worked on.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
