    Pros

You get protection. Safety. And are regularly paid.

    Cons

Its difficult to see how you contribute to improve your company. And its difficult to progress in your professional development. Its difficult to maintain the illusion to go work after some years doing always the same

    Benefits

    Cons

    Management
There are too many changes during the year so it´s really hard to have a delivery.
    It´s too burocratic

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don´t just look at the deliveries of the junior managers, also look at the happiness of their employees. The turn over is too high on my area.

    Pros

There were a lot of resources for approved projects, they have a handful of cool perks, depending on your manager you can get good work life balance.

    Cons

There are too many politics to get things running and there is a lot of paperwork involved in that too.

    Cons

Former Employee - Relationship Manager in Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England (UK)

    Pros

There were great opportunities throughout the business with a focus on personal development. If I found a relevant course for my personal/business development 9 times out of 10, it got approval.
The company can do culture resonated from the Board to the everyday manager. I worked with so many people that took pride in their work, overall a really empowering experience.

    Cons

Over the years I worked at BT Cellnet, Cellnet, O2 and finally Telefonica O2; there were constant restructuring, unfortunately the process didn't always identify the skill gaps created by the great people that left and the impact on productivity could be felt for months after.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I made a conscious effort to know the leadership Team but many of my colleagues could not name the board members nor were they interested in finding out.

    Pros

Employee recognition scheme 'Fan Club' is a good idea.

    Cons

Lack of honesty and integrity from immediate management regarding job status

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Examine employees more closely when reorganising, and keep the ones that achieve rather than the ones wuth the sales patter

Former Employee - Product Manager in Madrid (Spain)

    Pros

It is a solid company, no bad salaries, interesting jobs if you find a good department (some departments may not be that interesting)
    Good package of social benefits

    Cons

    - Telco momentum. Lack of new sources of business and traditional business is falling
    - Too traditional company, at least in Spain
    - Difficult promotion. Can be a bit nepotic
    - Decision chain is too long and heavy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is necesary to change inside culture, at least in Spain. Too much burocracy that can kill opportunities for new businesses and staff motivation. Decision making takes too long, employees feel they do not make decisions.
