I have been working at Telegraph Media Group full-time

    Pros

    - undergoing major organisational change to be agile and digital led
    - new emphasis on evidence-based decision making
    - starting to act like a business, not a boys club

    Cons

    - lots of deadweight still at the company
    - highly politically charged environment
    - takes a long time to get anything done

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop thinking you work for a massive company - you don't. It is a big brand name yes, but think about what your people want over what processes or bizarre, politically motivated deadlines you want to it.

I have been working at Telegraph Media Group as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

The brand on your CV will help you find your next career role. Since I have been working there had several job offers from competitors and digital companies.

    Cons

Old Fashion Management, Not yet near to become Digital, don't treat their employees right and lack of strong leadership that can take the newspaper to the next level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employ the right management people who can make a difference!!!!!!

I have been working at Telegraph Media Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    My boss
    The history of the place
    Former glories

    Cons

The place has no direction and its all getting a bit embarrassing
There no point discussing time off policies, training and work life balance when everyone wants to leave because the product we produce is rubbish.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a strategy and most importantly some editorial direction. People want inspirational leadership, figure heads and causes we can rally behind. Instead we are left sniggering at Private Eye. For the love of God stop worrying about time off policies, training and work life balance - its pathetic.

    Pros

Location. Some of the people I worked with

    Cons

Terrible management, all lack communication! No understanding with disabilities!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to each other instead of talking behind each other's backs.

I have been working at Telegraph Media Group

    Pros

The salary and benefits are really good. Nice building with good facilities in a good location. The also looks good on your CV

    Cons

Bad working environment. Dependent on the department you work in, perhaps this isn't for all departments but there is a lack of direction for people working on projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They transparency across different departments for better communication.
