    Pros

team environment and culture is great high standard of customer service especially to business customers great bonus and incentives professional career development platform advanced and intensive training

    Cons

very challenge as technology, products and services change all the time high pressure as targets are hard to meet so many mistakes are made in the back office especially the bundle team

    Advice to Management

improve the efficiency and accuracy of the bundle team and technician team

  2. I worked at Telstra

    Pros

Excellent employee benefits. Learning from the best of breed Telco. Great manager (if you're lucky). Flexible workplace. Exceptional support and resources. Great Career paths and options.

    Cons

Internal processes are slow and not efficient every time. Out of control issues impacting your clients and day to day job. Drastic change from management, expect the unexpected. Political and policy driven.

    Advice to Management

Listening is the key. Making everyone part of the changes and improvements instead of favouritism and selective heroes. Certain Leadership qualities are missing at some lvl in the business.

    Cons

Not enough opportunity for younger people and women Bit of a bum-on-seat-for-8-hours mentality Not enough women in executive positions

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Perfect for telecommunication experience. Great industry. One of the biggest company in Australia. Increasingly visible at the international level. Some great lines of business exist. Amazing technologies (great for engineers).

    Cons

The company is too complex for its own good. Lost its agility and responsiveness. Projects funding is difficult and very long. Some people are still bureaucrats and don't want the company to progress (e.g. process simplification). Some toxic leaders in and there in the company (~20% of management). Lack of internal career development and opportunities. Lack of pertinent training. Too much reconstruction, staff redundancy and outsourcing.

    Advice to Management

Fix the management toxicity in some areas. Appoint a COO that can actually understand telecommunication and engineering.

    Pros

Has clear customer centric objectives, great team and networking with other stores in the region

    Cons

Outdated processes still need to be reworked to move to a digital age. Not empowering store frontline with tools or resources to handle customers. Lack of labour budgets means staff are resigning due to high workload

    Advice to Management

Increase store labour budgets to provide a better experience to customers and to support more staff. Needs to be a significant gap between sales consultant salaries and management in store to promote progression within the company
