I have been working at Texas Roadhouse part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Clientele is usually satisfactory. Food is good so not many complaints by customers

    Cons

Management tends to be unfair most of the time. Key managers are always young and not experienced at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more experienced Keys that are able to make better decisions.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse

    Pros

Wonderful supportive management, flexible scheduling, almost always busy, work as one big family. We are busier than most chain restaurants, but we still get to have fun. There's always contests, prizes, outings, so we get a lot of chances to bond with each other

    Cons

limited opportunities to move up within the company, less than desirable clientele

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The 2 Roadhouses that I have worked at were both high energy and high volume. Unfortunately due to a turn over in management recently it has been a little hectic but the tips pay the bills.

    Cons

Clientele can be rough. It's more quantity of tips rather than quality of tips. The faster you turn and burn the better for your wallet.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a fast passed environment, where I got to meet all different types of people on a daily basis.

    Cons

They pay wasn't high enough for the position that I was in. They had me do a lot of work and fix their mistakes, but would never promote me to a manager.

I worked at Texas Roadhouse full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The pros is that the managers are super flexible with your time and they also understand how busy your life is.

    Cons

The cons is that they do not pay enough for all of the work that you do to prove yourself to them. They also make you complete miniature exams to fill the spot that you desire. While you are trying to learn it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just try to pay your employees more. It is not right to expect a lot of training when the pay is not so hot.

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse

    Pros

You make more money when the restaurant is busy (tip share), fairly easy to request time off, good training program, family-like atmosphere

    Cons

Management, either required to work New Years or Christmas Eve, a negative vibe from other co-workers who didn't want to be there

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More rigorous hiring process to get better employees

  11. Alright
