Best $ incentives in the Industry

Managing Partner (Current Employee)
Atlanta, GA

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time for more than 8 years

ProsYou can make as much money as you want. Its YOUR business to grow in your community. How motivated are you??

ConsGreat younger folks, bench talent, who dont see that big picture can get lured away for just a little more money & bogus short term promises not seeing the possibilities at TXRH. Good news is the usually only leave for a bit and come back realizing the mistakes

Advice to Senior ManagementWe need to find a way to explain the "End of the Rainbow" and not lose some of the younger talent.

Loved this place

Server Trainer/Bartender (Former Employee)
Gainesville, FL

I worked at Texas Roadhouse part-time for more than 5 years

ProsGreat job to work your way through college in a fun college town. Made so many great friends there. The managers were awesome, especially Greg! Flexible schedules and the ability to easily pick up or giveaway shifts. Had fun at work while still making pretty good money.

ConsAs with any restaurant some people are just rude and/or poor tippers. Fortunately tables turn rather quickly. Also missing some Gator football games because you have to work.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore contests and incentives.

One of the BEST companies to work for!

Service Manager (Current Employee)
Reading, PA

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time for more than 10 years

ProsAdvancement opportunities, caring culture, friendly team, never a dull moment!

ConsVery fast paced, challenging customer interaction, young team members.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinual training is thorough, exciting and inspiring. Lots of perks if you put in the time. Relationships with guests are long lasting/familial if you care enough. Weekends/holidays are mandatory. Great communication inside management team. If stressful situations, performance expectations, customer interaction, long hours, being on your feet for endless hours, or leading a team of young people isn't your ideal job, this is NOT for you!

Best Company in the Industry

Managing Partner (Current Employee)
Indianapolis, IN

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time for more than 10 years

ProsThe leadership still understands that the guest is the central focus of the business, but employees take care of the guests.

ConsBecause the company is filled with Legendary People, opportunity for advancement is very challenging. Everyone is great, so it is harder to stand out.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep believing in the Mission Statement, and continue to value people. TXRH truly is the industry leader.

Great Company to Work FOr

Server (Current Employee)

I have been working at Texas Roadhouse full-time for less than a year

ProsFriendly management who care about employee success and happiness.
Don't tolerate negative people who could otherwise pollute the work environment.
Provided an extremely impressive, highly detailed level of training that remained both fun and exciting.
Hourly wage for server position is very competitive for the industry (still below minimum wage, but compared to what other restaurants pay tipped employees, it's very good)
Do an excellent job of fostering a very friendly, familial environment, where employees have each others backs and help each other out.
Food is excellent, especially for the price point, which helps create regular customers.

I look forward to coming to work everyday, which is something I've never experienced before.

ConsEarly Dine special is such a good deal for the guest that it can make it difficult to make money for the first 2 hours we're open M-Thurs., but this is typically made up for the rest of the night and on weekends.
The food is such a great deal that you have to work hard on upselling to bring the final check amount up.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you're doing, it's working well.
