Management is great to work with and continuous and consistent training is offered to management. Management consistently has employee involvement and each employees feels valued and a key contributor to the business.

    Pros

The company is one of the best I've worked for. A multi-billion dollar company where you see the CEO around the office is unheard of. The people here are great too.

    Cons

As an intern they are a little more easy going. I am not sure how it is for "actual" employees.

    Pros

Textron Corp offers its employees fairly strong job security, excellent pay compared to competitors, and an opportunity to further your education through tuition assistance.

    Cons

Travel is often necessary and sometimes burdensome depending on your position. Typical office politics do occasionally interfere with the smooth flow of business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no particular advice to current Management that I wouldn't also extend to any corporation in the world today.

I have been working at Textron

    Pros

Management is not afraid of making changes and is well prepared to guide the company in its future.

    Cons

The product/engineering teams are still too closed inside their cocoons. This hurts the company and it's subsidiaries because they don't always take customer input into consideration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend time at the field. Face to face with customers. Create customer councils to hear from customers what they want.
