    Pros

    discount on clothes. that's it.

    Cons

if you work full time maybe 40-42 you have no time for personal life. Work every weekend if your new unless your higher up on the totem pole. People on Salary will work most mornings while other employees will every night and every weekend. Sundays are pulls and you will be working until pulled are finished regardless of what time you finish. You get paid on commission with you will start at 6.50 an hr + 3% commission. so if you sell $10,000 in the 2 week pay period you will make barely $300 extra dollars plus $260 you will make of hourly. With the stress of making sure you "zone" perfect and the the fact that your personal life doesn't matter to them you will feel so over whelmed when you get that $500 dollar pay check for busting your butt for the 40 hrs you worked. Its not the best career choice. They hype you up at the moment but when youre there for a while you start to see why the turn over rate is so high.

    Pros

Wasn't too hard to get the job, although I had to call back several times because it didn't seem too organized.

    Cons

Disorganized. The manager and staff were not helpful to new employees. A lot of gossiping. Employees did not like each other. A lot of talking behind each other back. Not a great place to work. At least the towson location. Manager wanted me to keep an eye on certain customers, If you know what I mean.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time training employees rather than pretending to. Don't talk bad about other employees behind their backs. Don't hire people based on looks.

I worked at The Buckle part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The only thing good about working at buckle is the discount which is 40%

    Cons

Pay is horrible you have to work so hard to get a decent check. The only time you make good money is if your a store manager or assistant manager. They treat store managers AWESOME! Im talking paid trips and concerts, when really store managers sit in the back and do nothing. You have to harass guest and when other store managers come to the store to visit omg they over do it by a million.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the sales associates better and either raise the pay or Commission cause working super hard for 350 dollars every two weeks is sad.

I have been working at The Buckle part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Your in control of your own pay check. As a sales lead you make around 6.45 plus 3% Commission on all sales so u have the potential of making pretty good money even as a part-time employee. The 40% discount is the best advantage in seen in retail too.

    Cons

No one takes there job seriously, Way to many inappropriate relationships.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be actions against sexual harassment once reported this has been the worst job I've ever work at and its unfortunate that buckle does not take the situation more seriously.

    Pros

It is great to work in a really hands on environment! It's fun to be surrounded in a fashion retail store. Teaches you quite a bit.

    Cons

Usually the people you tend to work with are extremely pushy. The new people basically have an opinion that doesn't really get included.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your managers have way to much power. Extremely rude and pushy.

    Cons

Poor culture in many locations, poor support from upper management when taking over a store, HORRIBLE hours, not enough pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure managers are performing true to Buckle culture. Listen to employees to know what goes on between the rare district management positions

I worked at The Buckle full-time

    Pros

One great thing about the Buckle is the opportunity for career advancement. It is very possible, but you have to be willing to work really hard, and long hours, and put in your dues. However, if you do this a sales associate can move into the management training programs and get some valuable experience and resume building positions at the Buckle. It was fun to help others feel good about themselves, especially with a body type that didn't cater to regular sizes. I enjoyed the daily interaction.

    Cons

Even thought career advancement is a plus, the pay and bonus structure is one which is very difficult to make a reasonable living wage on, even as a management trainee, and you have no life/work balance. This is difficult if you are a single parent or have any other obligations, and you may have a second job to get by. I was only able to do this with personal goals, management did not create my success only I did, and support was scraps. Mostly they just punished and drove sales with fear and intimidation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Motivate your staff with incentives, positive reinforcement, and education. Domineering management does no one, including your sales and employee retention any favors.

    Pros

I got a 40% discount. Too bad they were cheaply made.

    Cons

The Employees are mainly young and brainwashed to think they want a lifelong career there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't put adults in charge that try to fit in with the young staff but only succeed to look pathetic
