    Pros

Promote from within, ongoing training, personal relationship with upper management, your opinion counts, freedom to run your business yet they offer structure, great managent training program, internships, incentive based pay.

    Cons

Not a lot of cons, but it is difficult to move to the next level considering the longevity of the district managers

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing. Always do what makes most sense for the guests and the teams. Don't lose sight of that when trying new things.

    Pros

Working at The Buckle was a great opportunity for me personally. I came in at 17, and was promoted fairly quickly. I learned a confident way of sales training that was never aggressive but really worked to make sense of the sale. It helped develop people skills and the management training was incredible. There is great opportunities if you are either incredibly friendly or a sales person, you get to deal with fashion and the company is insanely organized and put together very well. If you get selected for the management in training program there is a lot of money to be made.

    Cons

It is a retail job so, typical retail job issues. Inconstant hours sometimes, the drama of dealing with sometimes a high turn over rate, customer service. But to be honest their management does a really selective job of hiring and working together to make things right for everyone.

    Advice to Management

A higher base pay would be more attractive. Commission is great. It would also be great if the employees had some input on store inventory.

    Pros

Buckle is all about challenging itself to better. Better products, better teammates, better services, better systems, and making it better for the guest is the focus. I started as a part time teammate 7 years ago and have be challenged everday to make myself better and to make those around be better. I
working for Buckle has made me a better person.

    Cons

If you don't have passion for what you do you will not succeed. The demands are pretty big on your time, but if you love it it will feel worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Always say thank you.

    Pros

This company was amazing to work for - the people, the environment, the management - everyone is so driven, friendly and helpful. This is more than just a retail position, it teaches you about social interaction, business development, financial analysis, etc. It was truly a pleasure working for them!

    Cons

    It was primarily commission based.

    Pros

The company bent over backwards to make sure I was going to be able to work for them, they paid me what I was asking for upfront, no questions asked. They give their full time employees 40-45 hours a week. This still gives employees two days off a week just like any other non retail job would. They allow for flexible scheduling.

    Cons

None that I have come across so far.

    Pros

Constantly learning new knowledge, growth opportunities with the company, fun atmosphere, get to work with and meet amazing people.

    Cons

Buckle is very pushy with the Buckle credit card. Each team member is expected to get someone to apply for a Buckle card every shift, which can be very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Do not put so much pressure on employees for meeting sales goals, make sure you are always treating employees with respect.
