    friendly atmosphere, well organized, I loved making customers day!

    Cons

    Required to be pushy with credit card apps and sign ups, you have to get a certain amount every day. Low pay

    Advice to Management

    not everyone wants to sign up for all that stuff no matter how sweet the deal is. When employees are required to get them to, it frustrates both the customer and the worker. It shouldn't have to be a requirement to get a certain amount each day. It should just be a requirement to ask them and let the know about the percentage off just for filling out the paper.

    Pros

    Working at TCP has its perks: - Great employee discount. - Flexible scheduling. - Friendly coworkers. It's a good starter job to get you into the retail world. It is very fast-paced & there's always something to do.

    Cons

    However, there are some things that make working there very stressful. - Children will destory everything! - Very few hours are offered. - Only 2 or 3 employees during a shift, so recovering the store is really hard when the store is very busy.

    Advice to Management

    At my store, the management team does a pretty good job with prioritizing tasks. The downfall is just that little hrs are offered to our store, so upkeeping such a high-traffic store is difficult.

    work great with people, quick learner, take critique well, proactive & very organized

    day goes by fast, due very fast paced environment, sometimes lack of communication,, due to fast pace environment

    Pros

    I wrote a review about 2 months into my employment, now I have been there for about 8 months. I wanted to highlight how flexible this job is; my store's management team is absolutely wonderful about accommodating any changes in my availability. The Children's Place is the perfect fit for stay at home moms or college students who need a part time job that offers flexibility in scheduling. Yeah, the pay isn't great, but you just can't beat the flexibility they offer! I would like to add that my coworkers, here in Oklahoma, are awesome!

    Cons

    Like I said, the pay is minimum wage, obviously that will vary based on where you live. Training is minimal, so you must be able to catch on quick. If you are looking for full time employment do not apply here! The only full time employees are managers (at least that's how it is at my store).

    Advice to Management

    Offer more incentives for promotions; a commission for Place Cards would certainly motivate me to push them more. Profit sharing for sales associates would obviously encourage everyone to sell more and use less discounts. Please do away with the head counts! Parents with teens come in, dads walk in and out, moms looking to save an extra buck run to the car to grab a coupon, spouses bring employees their lunches, there are so many factors that affect the conversion rate that have nothing to do with how much our customers are actually buying! I have yet to be offered a raise (at my one year mark I will inquire about this), but again, it's a small incentive that can make a big difference in encouraging the sales associates and letting us know that we matter as a part of The Children's Place team.

    Flexible hours, Receive several different types of retail experience all in one job.
