I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hard work does get you promotions. You can become part of management without having a bachelors degree which is good for College Students.

    Cons

The pay is HORRIBLE! While this is the perfect job for a college student looking for experience and some textbook money. It is NOT the perfect job for a college student with rent and bills to pay.

I worked at The Children's Place (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nothing good to say about this company except for my New Boss Rachel Mitchell she is great

    Cons

By far the most horrible job I have ever had..if corporate wasn't so greedy and compensated their employees or even gave the payroll to get their demands completed they would most likely be a good company to work for however they do not pay or respect their employees ever and also take advantage of them I was an assistant manager for 3 years and 2 of the years I was expected to fill the shoes of a store manager with out any compensation I made 11.30 a hour and had to do everything... The only reason I stayed was on the behalf of my 2 children and I couldn't get another job. When I confronted my district manager she told me if I was so unhappy to find another job and she was a true worthless individual....thank god I got out of there

    Advice to Management

Fire whoever is in charge of marketing they are who is wasting money

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

The company has good prices for customer's, associates get a 30% discount and that is probably the only pros there is for working here.

    Cons

The way things are set is CRAZY ! corporate excpects you to do SOO MUCH in such little time because you know they give us bairly an hours ! We are constantly having to learn pointless numbers and same old things that LITERALLY have been repeated to us for 5 years. Pointless. We are constantly doing dumb floorsets that are VERY POINTLESS AND MAKE THINGS HARDER FOR BOTH WORKER AND SHOPPER.&on top of that we're supposed to give the best customer experience while doing soooo much and so little time and pay.i would say in my store alot of girls have gone crazy and have quit becuz the company is sooo bad to work for.i love shopping here but working here is anothee story. I WOULD NEVER recommended working here unless u just wanna work one day a week and just do it for the discount.

    Pros

Employee discounts The staff is great. They really try hard. The customers were friendly.

    Cons

Impossible workload expectations Salary managers have to complete all extra assignments Indecisive Upper management do not communicate well with store managers

    Advice to Management

Pay store managers more. Allow assistant managers overtime sometimes. Cut back on shipment. Get rid of the road map. It's too time consuming. Stop obsessing over pictures! Give adequate training. Consider the differences between high volume stores and low volume stores when distributing workloads!!!

    Pros

Adjust their schedule to work with anybody's schedule outside of work at this job.

    Cons

Just being an associate requires too much work. We have to fill out paperwork and read tons of paper ever shift, which waste so much time. They do not stand by their word, rules and standards are not consistent .
