    small box retail store that can actually be prosperous in a large market

    management to be more proactive with the training and development of associates and not so much back office managers

    Pros

    30% discount which is pretty awesome. Fun environment, great people to work with.

    Cons

    Low pay, low hours, to much to do with no direction or time, upper management doesn't care about the associates or leads,

    Advice to Management

    Need to give good hours to get stuff done, give a good pay so people will actually stay, and have good direction when it comes to floor sets

    Pros

    Such a great place to work for. They really have the best interest of internally promoting their staff.

    Cons

    So much work is expected with little payroll. A lot of paper trails are completed and then tossed.

    the manager was strict when I worked there, standing all day,

    Pros

    You have to be dedicated to work for The Children's Place. Great discounts as well if you are surrounded by the right people you will love this job.

    Cons

    The Hours are never enough as well you do tend to run out of things that you would necessarily need at times to run the business. Best example of that is customer shopping bags.

    Advice to Management

    The business doesn't run itself and for that it is never a good thing to overwork your managers. They are your soldiers in battle that is fighting the front line fight.

    Pros

    fun environment Great discount cute fashions able to "own" your own business. Able to make decisions that fit your store the best. As long as you can back it up with great business reasons

    Hard to schedule with constant last minute changes. hard to move up from a store manager Product tends to be repeated each season
