I have been working at The Children's Place full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

This is a great job to have if you need a second job or even just something to get you out of the house. Honesty, it's a really easy job to have!

    Cons

Compensation could definitely be better. They do offer health insurance and such but other than that on benefits, unless you're a Store Manager or higher, you don't get bonuses or much more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your associates. They know and understand more than you think. Your associates should have more benefits or more incentives. It would help everyone with in the store.

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great flexibility for students when they have the right management in the positions.

like any typical sales job. The company is a good standing one and great discounts.

    Cons

not very challenging, can become very routine and mundane after a few months.

    constantly changing management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

create a better environment for those who want to stay. Promote within. Take your time to scout and interview managers for people who are the right fit... not just the ok salary requests.

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The Children's Places offers the most popular trends and the lastes in kids (baby-teenage) fashions to date. Their pricing and discounts are amazing and it really attracts the attention of the bargain shoppers.

    Cons

My challenges were the pay and the lack of organization in the scheduling. The store was always short staffed and you were lucky if you worked with a great manager or sales lead; especially in closing the store. There was no accountability; someone was always blamed for something and there were never any verbal employee appreciation. AND the employee discount was NOT great. I would spend less using my coupons and my PlaceRewards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to manager would be to practice organization of your team members and be mindful of the lives of others when it comes to creating the schedule.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time

    Pros

If you're looking for a place to feel comfortable this is good place. The atmosphere is nice if you get along with your co-workers.

    Cons

There isn't a lot of opportunity for growth. This company likes to hire "outside" of the company rather than promote from within. In addition to this, the work load for a sales lead is identical to that of an assistant manager, the only difference is you're over worked with no increase in pay and no benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Identify that there is opportunity to promote from within. Get to know more of the people in lower level management positions, they might impress you. You would be amazed how much knowledge someone possesses even after a short amount of time within a stagnant position.
