    Pros

    The paycheck and some of the benefits. Some good people, but even those seem to be flying out the door more and more, which is really a infinite con.

    Cons

    Leadership that doesn't seem to know what they want to do. Historic management that clearly didn't know what they were doing. Employees that don't seem to have the tools or the skills to compete in the marketplace. Work life balance doesn't mean working from home is a good thing in many cases. Doesn't have the clout it thinks it has. Musical chairs of employees and management. Your traditional corporate politics company, its everywhere.

    Advice to Management

    Purge more of the old guard, from top to bottom.

    Pros

    Good time off, people are great

    Cons

    Micro managememt to it's most psychotic level. Used to be a phenomenal company. Then they hired horrible sr. management. Bathroom breaks are timed, if it takes you more than 5 minutes to start your competer in the mornings you'll have a manager asking you what's taking so long. Don't ever be caught talking to another employee cause they'll get on to you for that as well. The stress level is so high it's not uncommon to see paramedics escorting people out due to mental breakdowns, heart attacks. IT was recently outsourced overseas so you have a computer problem you have to speak to someone in India that can't understand you and you can't understand them. Meanwhile your manager is upset with you that it's taking so long. You can't even go to your manager to ask a question, you have to ask through a chatroom while talking to the customer. Because calling the customer back hurts your metrics, but if the customer calls back it hurts your metrics as well. Morale is pathetic and management doesn't care. They go through reps like toilet paper.

    Advice to Management

    Stop taking pay and benefits away from the people that have salaries below the poverty line, and then give the CEO a $4 million dollar raise. Doesn't set to well with your employees.

    Pros

    Compensation and Benefits and the time off given

    Cons

    Call Center nature of job, being micromanaged, could not even get up to go to the bathroom without being disciplined for not being on the phone all the time. All that matters is that your stats and production meets their standards. Forget customer service, just meet the stats.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees rather than ask how we feel about working for the company and then disregard everything we say on the surveys.

    Pros

    Work-at-home availability, good health benefits if you can afford or need them, paid time off if you can schedule it, more than minimum wage

    Cons

    Extreme disorganization and mismanagement, inconsistent and incomplete policies and procedures, confusion over correct workflows between departments, outdated technology, poor scheduling and anticipation of customer needs (results in constant outsourcing, overtime, and denied vacation requests), constantly putting out fires while simultaneously wasting time redecorating the broken fire extinguishers, no true HR department, highly questionable decision-making (especially when addressing internal errors that cost the company money)

    Advice to Management

    Learn how to put people before profits whenever it's the right thing to do.

    Pros

    PTO, great and nice people, fun times. good work from home ability, good hours, good benefits. good systems, easy to sell

    Cons

    No money, boring, crazy people to work with and talk on phones with, terrible scripts to follow, too much drama, no advancement

    Advice to Management

    Pay more $$$

    Pros

    Some of the co workers are great - the rest are a bit car salesmanish ... depends on what type of person you like ...

    Cons

    Micromanaging, and when I say micromanaging they follow you in the bathroom if you are taking too long. You are the best thing on earth if you have a good month but one bad day and your useless to them. They want you to answer calls like a machine, nothing you do is right, I suggest they just script their employees then since you can never please your manager. Managers really some times have nothing to say so they pick randomly at you just to seem important.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees with respect and like adults and maybe they will perform like that for you.

    Pros

    The company Has a remote worker policy. Has nice bonuses. They encourage internal advancement

    Cons

    If you are accustomed to working under a project management structure you will be sorely disappointed. Employees are home grown people who worked up the ranks with now real background working in leadership roles. Their heads are in the sand and make it hard for newcomers to give feedback for change or progressive work structures. Legacy employees resist change and management will not enforce changes. They talk the talk but won't require it. Beware if you are a newcomer. They say you're being hired for your experience and need for change but they don't mean it

    Advice to Management

    Bring in more people from the outside world who have fresh ideas and trust and support them to implement. Give people real training where needed. Shadowing and other internal training is nice but if they are shadowing people who are reinforcing old ways, it is not very progressive.

    Pros

    Very flexible hours (call center) and options to work from home.

    Cons

    Unprofessional atmosphere, no opportunities. OK for a first job but you wouldn't want to make a career of it.

    Realize that good employees are your best asset

    Pros

    Pay is decent if you are right out of college. Peers are fantastic people. Work from home opportunities. Benefits. Many different departments to move to.

    Cons

    Management has no clue how to handle claims efficiently. Favoritism is clear. They promote people with little to no experience (college grad promoted to team leader within six months of being with the company?) management doesn't listen to their employees. Technology is dated. Workload is heavy with little flexibility. Pay could be adjusted to reflect industry averages.

    Advice to Management

    Stop thinking of yourselves and listen to the people that work for you.

    Pros

    If you can make it to the appropriate job category, bonuses are good. When they are available. The people who work at this company are fantastic.

    Cons

    The lT leadership (or lack thereof) is what made me leave the company. Favoritism and politics abound. Change happens frequently, and sadly it is never for the better. I tried to navigate through it all and was left floating in shark-infested waters all alone when my sponsors moved to other areas within the company. This company will overburden you with work and overstress you with negativity. Avoid.

    Advice to Management

    Care about your people. Stop rewarding your golf buddies and look at your company as a whole. Or…perhaps you should just take your golden parachute and retire.
