Low stress company with great exposure to the healthcare industry.

Associate Project Director (Former Employee)
Oakbrook Terrace, IL

I worked at The Joint Commission full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe company has great benefits. Their pay is on par with industry standards. The work environment is very low stress.

ConsThe organizations is highly bureaucratic and operates in silos. Project are slow to develop and pushing out new services to customers takes much longer than most other companies. There are few growth opportunities at the organization.

Good mission and vision - too many egos and non-accountability at leadership level

Director (Former Employee)

I worked at The Joint Commission full-time for more than 10 years

ProsHard working staff - committed despite challenges
Still cash cow - plenty of working capital
Lots of health care expertise throughout the organization

ConsLots of inefficiency
Big divide in comp between staff and execs
Unhappy execs stay because golden packages too good to leave
Joint Commission brand is less and less relevant in health care circles
Board - little power to change or drive accountability
