    Pros

Respect among co-workers, almost always someone willing to help out or provide information, great benefits, great hours and great pay

    Cons

high and hard obtain goals. you couldn't be at 99.59 when they wanted 99.6 .. it just wasn't good enough

    Advice to Management

not everyone can make the numbers that are set as a goal. most of your full time people can't make it regularly and only a handful make it more than 2 months in a row

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an intern

    Pros

Great people, great location, and great mission lead to a great intern experience. The ops intern program is the best in the company, with many chances for education and exposure.

    Cons

All work is project based for engineers, so your experience can be heavily reliant on the project you are assigned. If you are given a series of smaller projects, your learning and results will be hindered.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. At Thermo, management seems to genuinely care about the career goals and aspirations of their employees, and are happy to help out however they can.

    Pros

This internship is very structured and well presented. All of the people that you work with are happy to help you and the projects they have you work on have an actual impact on the company. The upper management is very inviting, having taken time out of their day to meet with all of the interns.

    Cons

You are required to attend a bunch of teleconferences that don't apply to you at all (example, I am a summer intern and I had to attend an hour and a half long webinar about HR changes that will take place in October). I dread getting emails from the university relations people because it's just another thing that I'm required to do that takes valuable time away from me doing actual work for my supervisor.

    Advice to Management

I understand all of the inclusive actions that are being taken, but I feel like it's a little extreme. Also, at this specific site, the computer that I'm given does not have the necessary specs to run some of the CAD systems effectively. I mean, it works, but just slowly and laggy. I would suggest trying to upgrade your hardware.

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Less than a year)

    Pros

They do a lot for their interns; having leadership seminars, providing access to employee resource groups, and opportunities to meet senior management. Helping each other succeed is part of the culture here, and is a big part of why I would recommend applying to Thermo Fisher Scientific

    Cons

Its a huge company with sites spanning around the globe, which sometimes makes communicating with others/ finding a specific contact a bit difficult

    Pros

Thermo Fisher Scientific is a great company to work for because the core values and mission of the company bring in a highly talented pool of smart and motivated employees to pursue excellence on a daily basis.

    Cons

There is a bit of bureaucracy and hierarchy since the company has acquired many different businesses, and things can move slowly at times.
