    Keg in office & relaxed atmosphere

    Favoritism, unqualified managers & directors , unorganized leadership which trickles down into employees working harder not smarter.

    Hire & promote qualified people ....and Pay them what they're worth so they stick around more than 6mths

    Pros

    Great office environment if the idea of a fraternity appeals to you, possibility of telecommute for certain employees, constructive advice, decent benefits... all with the caveat of "for a startup".

    Cons

    No transparency in career path. Absolutely none. Weaker employees will occasionally become "gilded", and visibly treated better/promoted above far stronger/more seasoned staff. People can be ignored, or eliminated, on a whim and without justification. The company strategy changes every six months, chasing short term goals with no apparent consideration of the long term. Expect to wear a lot of hats (regardless of if you're qualified for them) and then be judged on them.

    Remember where you came from, and think about where you want to be five years from now. Not just what you want to see tomorrow.

    Some perks like bagel fridays, whiskey tastings occasionally. nothing major

    Cons

    Long hours, workload not compensatory to salary, people here are not friendly, glorified frat house in here

    Pros

    - fun loving environment of young, dedicated, smart people
    - compensation and benefits are good
    - smart people with good ideas
    - management TRIES to enstill a culture of fun and fraternity

    Cons

    - Incredibly Cliquey environment. Think: cool highschool lunch table (except its not football players and cheerleaders, rather new age nerds [not a bad thing])
    - Only certain people have access and influence to upper management, despite what they'll say.
    - Work life balance is good when seen through the eyes of someone who's work is their life.

    Thrillist is great if you really really want to be there. You're only goal should be to maintain that enthusiasm and love for the company and people. If you fail at this, you'll find yourself in a soul crushing long winded conversation of a job that's draining and unfulfilling.

    Pros

    Very young company with young employees who party and drink all the time. If you do not speak to anyone, it is possible to get far.

    Cons

    Once something goes wrong, there is no way to redeem oneself, always a target on your back. People are very catty and only want promotions. Promotions based on time, not performance. Very top heavy in upper management, they say our voices are heard and recognized, but that is not the case. There is NO work life balance, hours are extremely long with no appreciation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to employees and give at least some positive feedback, negative feedback was heard 99% of the time regardless of level of performance.
