I worked at Tim Hortons part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun people to work with. Fun atmosphere. Flexible in scheduling and allowing time off. Overall it is a good coffee shop to work at. Soups and sandwiches are pretty good.

    Cons

Donuts and coffee not as good as Dunkin Donuts. Donuts are made in Canada, frozen and then shipped and re-heated. They do not last very long and aren't the greatest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help employees train to learn new things. The store I was at was flexible and let us handle different responsibilities.

I worked at Tim Hortons full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Student Scholarship program. Free uniforms. The benefits program was excellent and ranged from health benefits to discounts on food, paint, oil, beer and an assortment of other random things.

    Cons

Efficient staff were under appreciated and paid/treated the same as those who do essentially nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you wish to keep your good employees make them feel valued. Some of the managers I worked with were good at this but many were not.

I worked at Tim Hortons part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Pros are a great job to start out or if you need extra income otherwise don't expect a whole lot from the owners it is a franchise and the owners are not great with their employees. Work you hard with hardly no recognitions. Get great customers

    Cons

Pay sucks no benefits and if so they are not worth it. work you hard and nothing to show you for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better pride in the little people that do hard work.
