I have been working at Tim Hortons

    Pros

Decent job with flexibility and some co-workers are fun.

    Cons

Unfortunately a lot of drama caused by the drug-addicts and management changed over to people who couldn't do a basic job of an employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure everyone is treated fairly and talking down to people encourages them to find a new job. Trust me. DRUG TEST PEOPLE!!!

I have been working at Tim Hortons full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Get out at 3/330pm. Office work is easy to learn

    Cons

must work shift yourself if you can';t find coverage. This includes overnights and days off. Early start. Don't bother to apple if you can't wake up early or get to work on time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

hard to make suggestions because you get shut down right away because higher than management is close minded.

    Pros

coffee? I don't drink coffee so it wasn't for me

    Cons

too many food and drink choices. I'm a fast learner and I still didn't know all the possibilities. Some things aren't even on the menu, like at all. Training videos are good but impossible to fully remember. No room for advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire ppl that are not productive and refuse to listen to you.

I have been working at Tim Hortons part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers! The coworkers are the only reason I'm still working this job while paying my way through college. If you don't have great coworkers, you will hate this job.

    Cons

Disrespectful customers are the absolute worst. They are the main con of working at this job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to copy every other company's ideas and create your own like roll up the rim. Everything else is taken from other companies like the rewards cards, the new sandwich boxes, and a lot of the breakfast in general. I stopped by a dunkin' donuts and saw that they have almost the same things we do, just named differently. I suggest coming up with things that stick instead of items that are driven by advertising alone and when the advertising dries up, the particular item is forgotten about.

I worked at Tim Hortons full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

the manager I had gave me a set schedule, time off when I had health problems and the workload was fairly light

    Cons

I offered to help out when staff was short for overnights and was never taken off them- there was no discussion of being put back on my regular shift. The overnighters were also told at one point they were not allowed to have phones on them which is a safety issue when going to an outside freezer at night alone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

appreciate overnighters more, find harder workers for second shift
