    Pros

It's been a steady job and I like a few of my co-workers.

    Cons

Low salary and no growth opportunity. Despite going above and beyond and regularly receiving glowing reviews year after year I was still not given a significant raise or promotion. "It's just not in the budget" was a common excuse, yet the upper managers were still collecting their bonuses. The financial bottom line is all that management cares about. They cut corners by paying their direct employees poorly and hiring the cheapest contractors available. The amount of warranty requests because of shoddy workmanship speaks for itself. Managers also have the worst communication I've ever experienced. No one knows what anyone else is doing so a lot of time is wasted by multiple people all doing the same thing. My direct manager puts on a show of "making himself available" but in reality he is never really available. I've had to have the same conversation, with the same information, numerous times because my manager just doesn't remember anything. Waste of time. There are several senior VPs who are downright verbally abusive yet no one ever addresses this with them. It is just accepted that that's how they are. Like it or leave it. This is probably why the turn over rate is so high.

    Pros

Based on my experiences I would recommend investing in this company. Pay is decent but not commensurate with workload. Well established company. There are and have been some really great people that have worked with the company, but most of the really good ones find a way to leave before too long.

    Cons

The company really could care less about their people and make it very clear that everyone is replaceable. If you have a young family, it can be a real challenge for you and your loved ones. High stress environment. Although things have turned for the better since the housing downturn, they are still running on bare bones from a staffing perspective. As a result, things get missed and continue to get missed until it has to go to Senior Management, and then, after they have burn out their people, the swoop in and try and help. They are a very reactive versus proactive company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It may be time to start filling more of those positions that were eliminated back in 2007 & 2008......

    Pros

good training, nice work place, met nice people, good benefits

    Cons

They don't pay well so turnover is far too high resulting in errors and mistakes. Construction is awful, company culture is ill. Its just a matter of time before the company crashes because they cant keep good employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring the cheapest contractors it doesn't work. Change your bonus structure because it is barbaric. Pay your sales people so they want to work. Read your reviews and compare to other builders and ask yourself the question why is everyone saying the same thing?

    Pros

Beautiful enviroment although noone is happy! The company sets the stage for employees to be competitive and backstabbing because they fear for their jobs!!

    Cons

Walmart business ethic! Nonone is valuable to them. You are replaceable! Do t hink you are not. Continue to look for a job while employed with Toll Bros, they have a high turnover rate.

    Pros

Great product, strong cash position in the market.

    Cons

As Bob Toll gets closer to retirement and Zvi controls more of the company it is becoming more of your typical backstabbing, vindictive corporate culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace Zvi he is not Bob Toll and never will be.

    Pros

Great salary and benefit package. They do every thing possible to try and show a high degree of professionalism aside for taking care of their professions.

    Cons

Great salary and benefit package. They do every thing possible to try and show a high degree of professionalism aside for taking care of their professions. Very Cliquish environment. Its the only job I ever worked that despite high metrics your ascension is decided by how well the superiors like you personally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up. Start promoting based on metrics and merit. It is one of the few home building companies where the builder of your home could not lead, manage nor has a Idea of how you domicile is to be put together. Their success has been based on great construction managers not project managers. However, in this tough environment that have taken to remove the post of construction manager and outsource that position. The quality of a toll home has started to deteriorate at a tremendous rate.
