I love going to work everyday! My job is interesting, well-rounding, and makes me want to be all I can be.

Actuarial Analyst (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

Pros- The culture is inviting and empowering
    - The people are incredibly smart and personable
    - You are given paid days off to study for actuarial exams
    - Many opportunities for growth and raises

Cons- Work is demanding and will require more than just a 9-5 day. I actually still take this a positive that the work is so involved, but a balance between your work and life is very important

Advice to Senior Management- Keep empowering your employees
    - Find more ways for employees to interact across lines of business

Lives its "client first" values and delivers for investors

    Senior Consultant (Current Employee)

ProsCollaborative culture, very high caliber talent, live and breathe client-centric values, outstanding collective expertise and resources; very well managed financially; have made intelligent acquisitions

ConsAs in any large organization, there are some who aggressively self-promote to get ahead; fiscal discipline means staffing can get tight; promotion process can be very slow (the downside of being very carefully thought through)

Advice to Senior ManagementDevelop, recognize and reward your "junior" leaders for their contributions to building top talent

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    A great working envirnoment

Actuarial Analyst (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsYou couldn't ask for a better group of coworkers. From analyst to senior consultant, everyone is willing to help you out. Everyone is highly intelligent so it keeps you motivated to produce the best work possible.

ConsAs with consulting in general, you have sporadic work weeks. They has been an increase in the number of long work weeks. This is partly because of the office being currently under staffed.

    Company full of smart people

    Business Analyst (Current Employee)

ProsMy group is full of hardworking smart people who are genuine in their commitment to clients. People live the company values: Clients first, collaboration, professional excellence, integrity and respect.

ConsI would like to see more communication between groups. There have been some post-merger growing pains but I feel we are now getting to be one integrated company.

    Top 3 professional experiences

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Pros- tons of opportunities for personal & professional development
    - smart people
    - interesting work
    - autonomy
    - flexibility (work from home very accepted)

Cons- inconsistent leadership across business units; some leaders don't communicate, others do
    - risk aversion to telling people realities of change post-merger lead to many frustrated & disengaged associates

Advice to Senior ManagementBe open - give your very smart people the benefit of the doubt - deliver tough messages without sugar coating, those who don't accept it don't belong there in the long run.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
