I have been working at Towers Watson

    Pros

Very client focused, constantly generating revenue

    Cons

In certain positions there are no room for growth. The merge is not fully complete, still feels like it's two companies instead of one.

I have been working at Towers Watson (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some can make it to other jobs, the working environment is pleasant as far as the building as it is new and the desks are large, great people on the teams

    Cons

No concern for the people who work there, fear is used as an incentive, no marketing plans, everything is done on a wing and a prayer. You are not looked at for advancement unless you have been buttering up the supervisors or have another type of connection. Great work means nothing. There is never a safe feeling and there is no idea in management about how the process really works. Supervisors are not licensed and can offer little help. No forward thinking, just jump in the water and see what hapens

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use great project management and SWOT on your projects, people should not be advanced unless they have the education and experience. Think the campaigns through to the end. Use focus groups more often. The Benefit Advisors experience guide you. Use background checks on everyone.

    Pros

When I first started, there were a lot of great people to learn from. Collaborating with others frequently quickens learning and development.

    Cons

Salaries are the same across office regions. Senior sellers leaving the company at an alarming rate. As a result work is becoming harder to come by.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job at retaining senior people who land big projects.
