I worked at Travelex full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are always interesting people to meet, since they're either coming from or will be going abroad. It's also pretty neat to see currency from other countries.

    Cons

Exchange rates are in no way competitive, so this service tailors mostly to people who don't know that their bank can get them foreign currency or who waited to the last minute to get what they need. It's just like any other sales job, where the wrath of the customer gets unleashed at you instead of at the corporate mucky-mucks who determine the prices and fee structure.

I have been working at Travelex

    Pros

competitive benefits, management is putting more effort into making a better work environment.

    Cons

no clear direction/management. Penny wise and pound foolish. There's internal struggles between departments (have a cover your ass mentality). The company seems to prefer hiring outside the company instead of promoting/rewarding their good employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the office culture and communicate the direction of the business to the whole company.
