Aspen has the POTENTIAL to be a great place to work

Dietary Aid (Former Employee) Greensburg, IN

ProsNice policy on building up PTO time. Employee recognition perks and gas cards for perfect attendance each month. A lot of very helpful people work alongside you. The senior management team are second to none!! Step in when and where a crisis arises.

ConsVERY short staffed, very little time off, not a set schedule. 3 days of on boarding to tell how fabulous the company is, and the first day on the floor.....you quickly find that THIS facility does not measure up to the lip service that they just performed during the last 3 days. Disappointed from lack of care when giving my notice. Seemed me leaving meant nothing.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter staffed, appreciate the employees, and more time off. This would benefit employees and residents!!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    CNA

    CNA (Former Employee) Noblesville, IN

ProsThey truly value their employees and reward them often with little incentives here and there.

ConsThe pay could definitely be better for the amount of responsibility that is required.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider the possibility of better pay and fewer incentives.

Hampton Oaks provides great benefits, but not much recognition for a job well done.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) Scottsburg, IN

ProsEven though the pay is on the lower end of the range, the additional benefits more than make up for it. Insurance costs are reasonable, employees are eligible for gas reimbursement, and they offer retirement plans.

ConsEmployees are generally not recognized for doing their jobs correctly or efficiently. The only recognition that is handed out consistently is for having perfect attendance. While showing up for work when scheduled is important, recognition should be shown when an employee does a good job as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on recognizing employees who do their jobs well if you want to keep them happy. No one likes to go to work in a place that ignores their accomplishments while focusing on any mistakes they may make.

There is politics and alot of it at this company...It is not what you know, its a who know company in order to get a job

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsVery few that are worth discussing. Some employees are great to work with. Some departments very friendly.

ConsPrograms for the staff are mandatory and somewhat boring. Upper management thinks they are better than anyone else. To get a promotion within only happens if they like you and get away paying you less than market value for the position

Advice to Senior ManagementStop promoting from within people who not qualified for the position you give them. Seems you only want the ones that do minimal work and have very little education.

Best healthcare company I have ever worked for

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsOverall the people are great and they really care about their employees

ConsAdvancement is not always available. People get promoted and no one even knew there was a opening for the position.

Advice to Senior Managementthere is no politics, so lets make sure there are none.
