Benefits nice. Growing company with lots of opportunities for people at all levels. Looking for ways to innovate and become even more profitable.

    Cons

A place where those with history don't have time or room for newcomers even though they hired them. Struggling a bit with rapid growth.

I have been working at Trinity Industries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay and benifits. Wonderful job and great company. I love the work and pay

    Cons

Supervisors have access to all your info including being able to change your clock in and out times. They erased days of work and charged me absences for days i worked. I complained to hr and was told i couldnt do anything. Only workers are ever drug tested. .Never upper management. Despite complaints from many about open use of drugs. Dont file a complaint about money shorted from your check because you will be subject to harassment and have your hours cut. You only get promotions if you are friends with supervisor. Very corrupt and illegal things go on at plant 19 and you cant do anything about it cause its the supervisors doing it and no one cares.i love my job but supervisors make it impossible to stay. They fired several people for complaint against the management since i started.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mandatory drug testing for supervisors. Dont let supervisors have access to personal files and time cards. Plant 19

I have been working at Trinity Industries for more than a year

    Pros

Good money and good people to work with accept the management. You will always have work to do because everyone like to do the job twice.

    Cons

Working 7 days a week 12 hour shifts. If you have no life and no family this is for you. They will lie. Example: welder gets hired to be a welder. He is down at the burn table using a torch cutting scrap. You can not trust this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get new management and pull your head out of your butt

I have been working at Trinity Industries full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Steady work and steady pay

    Cons

Unprofessional management showing favoritism and not inforceing company policy.
Supervisor sits in office all day texting while hi lo driver does his work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Lima Ohio Trinity guardrail plant is the most unprofessional place Ive ever seen. The management is inconsistent at inforceing company policy and only reprimands certain workers. They allow racial and profane remarks. One supervisor there gives financial support to the hi lo driver to do his job on first shift. They need to be investigated! I have contacted Dallac and they do not answer my emails. Please monitor their behavior there as even though new policies are now being put into effect they may only enforce it with certain workers. There is a lot of favoritism there. Please help!!!!!!!

I have been working at Trinity Industries

    Pros

A very fair company. No union means no union dues and the company treats it's employees fairly and with a sense of respect. Good hours. Company issued personal protective gear including annual safety boots.

    Cons

I am currently having some difficulty finding requirements for advancement to next operator level. This appears to be an issue with a number of employees not just myself. I intend to persue the matter, though, and expect that I will be able to get satisfactory results.

    Pros

Previous manager was a great teacher. Willing to build you into what the company needs..

    Cons

Too Politically Correct! Hourly fight amongst themselves. Dog - Eat - Dog!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You can't do it in todays society.... But stop being politically correct. Get the Job Done. Listen to the Junior Supervisors who have good Ideas. Improve pay.
