    Pros

CULTURE, opportunity, locations. Troon manages resort, public, and private golf clubs all over the world. On average these are 4 and 5 star properties and normally are the best in their respective regions. No other company in the business puts the people on the ground and the support behind them to dominate in hospitality as Troon does.

    Cons

Dealing with the general public will always present challenges, if you do not enjoy taking care of people then hospitality is not the business for you. Also to advance in Troon you must be prepared to put in the hours and time to demonstrate what you can do. Finally people who are unable to relocate to advancement opportunities should not complain as I see in other reviews....how else do you think the world works?

    Pros

Troon Golf is the best company to grow with in the golf industry! There are very knowledgeable managers and Vice Presidents and energetic staff and passionate people make up this company!

    Cons

Some people would view the passion of the company managers as a CON but that is what makes Troon Golf the best!

    360 degrees of respect

Current Employee - Director in Scottsdale, AZ

    Pros

It's a low stress environment where everyone cares about the work they are doing. Everyone respects the fact that we need to maintain a good work-life balance. Senior Management leads thoughtfully and from their breadth of experiences, not from solely by the numbers on paper. People are treated fairly and with respect. You can also respect your peers and senior management in return because they earn it rather than demanding it.

    Cons

There isn't much room for growth because of our size and the fact that everyone is content and turnover is low. Overall compensation is mediocre compared to other places in the valley, but if compensation is not your only driving factor, you can be very happy at Troon Golf.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep growing slowly with quality and foresight.
