    Pros

None. Work morale is extremely low.

    Cons

Upper executives are totally detached from reality and too arrogant to listen or do research from ground level. Product quality is compromised to achieve extreme profit margins. Precious cash flow is recklessly spent on unnecessary and useless areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

LOW PAY for all the work that is required
They don't care about their employees

    Pros

as of now none. before the buyout, it was a pretty good place to work . generous salaries, bonus and benefits.
there was a goal and a look ,there was a leader with a vision that worked. he knew every aspect of the business from samples ,production ,buying ,design and retail.

    Cons

the new management are clueless on how to fix this business. It all starts from the product and the leaders in design are incompetent and living in a dream. the production dept is a joke ,they have exhausted most of the relationship with the current vendors. more generals then soldiers. I would really look closely at the creative director to see if they really have a strategy to move forward ,rather than collecting their fat checks. the deadweights that no longer contribute in design is a waste of money ,energy and productivity. you really need to see if they are stepping up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Making people drink on the job is not going to solve the problem or make you look like you have a great culture.
I would not be surprised if someone would sue the company ,if they were pulled over for a dui or they had an accident or alcohol lead incidents? anyways,it's not cool to drink on the job... come up with a game plan, It would be a miracle to turn the company around . whatever you are doing is not working so, lets see what happens.

    Pros

when the original founder was there,it was a fun place to work. good people in general and he kept his employees happy with generous wages and perks.

    Cons

Failed restruction. there are no credible ,experienced ,qualified, leaderships from every single dept. the CEO has never done this before,so they had to send him to back to retrain him in a ceo school. poorly misguided by the remaining deadweights and unexperienced management. it all starts from the product and the people in charge of this is very questionable. there should not be a creative director and 2 directors of design to coverup each others flaws ,step up ,if they want to save money ,cut the bait already.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

lets face the truth. you guys made a bad investment , if there are any hopes of recovering ,that would be a miracle. the brand has become stale ,out of fashion and it's over. as they say " you can't polish a turd, its still a turd" face the reality and sell it off . you would lose more money trying to keep alive.

    Pros

best reason to work here would be friendly people. if you get hire full time, it has a good benefits.

    Cons

with confusion and chaos it is very difficult to maintain work flow, too many revisions, a lot of overtime is a must to compensate daily work flow. there are no support from management to help with problems way in which each department share and pass information with each departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

after massive layoffs, there were no plan B. instead, we were left alone without any support to maintain the work flow with all new employees who needed training and with too many temporary people who are coming and leaving, again, retraining... all these effects work.

I have been working at True Religion Apparel full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

the original founder (Jeff Lubell) was very good to his employees. he was loyal and control the company with a vision and culture.

    Cons

if you have zero talent and have an English accent you can get by without ever working. incompetent and lazy heads of design that never takes on responsibility or accountability.
lack of communication between departments so, no one knows what is going on. lack of leadership , weak products and stale designs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

really look at the heads of each dept. are they capable ,do they have the drive or the passion to take the brand to the next level ? are the products even relevant. is there a demand?
cutting valuable people who were the machine of the brand was a bad idea . you get what you pay for. the deadweights who sponges off the company resources needs to go.

    Pros

Discount on quality products. Laid back product attracts a wide range of clients. Made in USA products. At one time they actually solicited feedback from the field.

    Cons

Not an organization that promotes from within unless you are in the inner circle. Many employees left at the same store and same level for years. When trying to gain advancement or raises they were told to sell more, you control your paycheck. Too many stores and too many outlets have cheapened the brand. No payroll budget, it is literally skeleton crew coverage all day every day. Meaning they do not support payroll for rollouts or new employees. Conversion and client book expectations are unrealistic when even top retail doors operate on 2 coverage all day long even on peak weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out what it really takes to operate each location so you won't have to announce visits to see what you want to see. Make the show about the customer, stop by and see what every store looks like at 2pm on a Saturday. 70 customers in an hour, everything is out back... Good luck with that conversion goal on 2 coverage. The customer already has noticed the increased turnover of employees and decreased floor coverage. Are you still trying to set the standard for premium denim?

    Pros

the discount I guess?.... monthly bonuses. Corporate seems as if they care about their stores.

    Cons

No training provided because they just need people ASAP and then leave them in the dust after they're hired. Then store doesn't run smoothly because the entire staff is learning on their own, and all the blame is placed on Management team. DM only cares about the "money making stores" and their favorite management teams. Technology is SO outdated. EVERYTHING is done with paperwork which makes for a large amount of errors. Allocations need to get it together. Product is shipped based on what the store needs, but is wrong EVERYTIME. We received boxes upon boxes of things we dont sell well at all. All around EXTREMELY unorganized with little help. OH the best part is the clientele!! Ghetto, slums that talk to you like dirt. Be prepared to fake it everyday dealing with these people!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update your technology!!!! Transfers, shipment and hiring should be done WITHOUT PAPERWORK!!

    Pros

Laid back environment. Great discount. Work in jeans and a shirt.

    Cons

Politics. High expectations for low-wages. Employee turnover. Unexperienced and unprofessional management staff. Underachieving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employee turnover is a bad thing. Dedicate some payroll to stock. Take care of your store all the time and quit working till 5am in the morning when your DM is coming on a visit. Talk to your employees.
