Excellent research, but postdoc level pay

Postdoctoral Scholar (Current Employee)
Berkeley, CA

I have been working at UC Berkeley full-time for more than 3 years

ProsWorld class research (I'm in neuroscience), excellent location. In the past few years Berkeley has taken "alternative" careers more seriously for STEM researchers and now offers many workshops to help people looking beyond the academic track.

ConsPostdoc pay lags Stanford (but hey, you're a postdoc). Postdocs are basically on the NIH pay scale. Also, Berkeley's academic disciplines can be a little siloed.
