Former Employee – worked at UNC Charlotte full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Pros for working a UNCC were the benefits, hours, compensation, and paid holidays. It seemed there was always some activity going on that one could attend on company time with approval.
Cons – Cons would have to be within the department. Everybody wanted or tried to guess your business. Too much gossip and not enough work going on.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop gossiping

Current Employee – been working at UNC Charlotte full-time for less than a year
Pros – Public entities are different from corporate businesses therefore everyday you'll find some nuance that will stimulate your creative side.
Cons – Some external institutions are traditionally bureaucratic; so, finding ways to cooperate while attaining your goals are paramount.
Advice to Senior Management – Not that this organization lacks any, the only comment I would make to a new employee is that feedback is essential to any great organization. So don't assume management is aware of problems you notice.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at UNC Charlotte part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I enjoy working in such a wonderful environment. The people here are fantastic, warm southern hospitality, as well as dedicated to the students and developing the campus further.
Cons – The only issue is that there are some departments on campus that can be a pain to deal with. But it's a state institution, so that's expected.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – I loved my professor (so much so that I agreed to work for her both years of the Masters program)! Probably the biggest pro to this job is that it works around your school schedule and your classes come first.
Cons – It can sometimes be a little stressful trying to balance your class load and meet deadlines for your professor's class.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work
