I have been working at UNESCO as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The inclusive work atmosphere allows for more in depth knowledge on the world around us and gives a deep insight into how policies and policy makers are constantly updating the education systems around the globe.

    Cons

There is a lot of reading and a lot of researching if you are new to the terms and concepts where focus and attention is needed. Other than that, work is great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can tell the senior management there is a problem of time that must be respected. I give the example to publish the winners of the culture of peace today 4 months. time must be regulated and also inform people who are in the program each time there is a change of something.

    Pros

Wonderful work experience within a UN agency. Variety of responsibilities entrusted to us and extensive experience gained in the running and management of UNESCO.

    Cons

Not really. Long hours, particularly during the bi-annual Executive Board Conference.
