    Pros

Collegues. We all want to leave.

    Cons

Our of stock on everything makes prospecting and proveying impossible due to the number of will calls On a multi task daily basis. Sorry, I'm not the buyer, the picker or the driver, 2 of whom are union protected, so my family starves first even though I brought you the business. If you are commission based and products are absent the truck, kiss your pay check good bye. Senior management takes care of their "buddies". Too much business bought not earned. The pads are a joke., you positioned yourself in a down market and are currently ill advising your sales team to absorb your debt. Fiscally irresponsible and a new hilarity in the industry.

I have been working at US Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Is a job, pays bills.

    Cons

Managers are not emotional stable. Managers are acomodating their own people in positions that don't have experience. Procurement managers coming from sales. A lot of stress, work load is horrible with min tools to help. Too many chiefs!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to employee self reviews. There's a lot of lying, nepotism, bullying in the divisions. Communicate more about the adquisition.

I have been working at US Foods

    Pros

Leaving. Leaving. Leaving. Leaving and Leaving.

    Cons

This place is being aquired by Sysco and Management is doing every slimy thing they can to get rid of those with seniority and higher pay...as expected. They are lying and being slick on write ups and Union has NO clout also as expected cause stewards are afraid of going against management too because they know they could be next. No care given by HR that proper steps arent being taken and that company is breaking major DOT hour laws but picking and choosing who to weed out. Hmmmm...wonder why? SYSCO can you answer that for us? Bye Bye US Foods is right. Hope all you people writing about not knowing how the transition will effect you are either at the bottom of the pay pool or have job opportunities lined up. Im watching the discrimination of older employees and those with many years in and high pay and the discrimination and abusive actions by Management especially in certain places and departments is completely unethical and they will certainly be sued. I guess they dont care though because they are already in the hole and its every man for himself it seems. Sad time to be an employee there now. Run! Run! if you can and like they said before way better places to work that value employee's who work hard, stay late and help others. Cant wait to watch a couple of these guys go down with the sinking ship!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your doing all the dirty work for Sysco suckers. Word is in Atlanta your all gonna be OUT once this thing goes through have fun and see ya on the unemployment line!

I have been working at US Foods

    Pros

Seriously, I cannot think of one. Just being honest. Well, you do get paid every week, but once Sysco takes over, you will be paid every 2weeks.

    Cons

Wow, where to start. Paychecks are wrong on a weekly basis, and it's not in your favor. I have personally worked with new hires that never interviewed in person and 1month after being on the job, Charlotte calls them in for orientation. I have been asked to work another 12hrs after just completing a full shift of driving. Hello, D.O.T restrictions?? Management will lie to you just to cover their rears. They will hire you for one job position and have you doing something else to cover for their sorry hiring practices. They will also cut you loose(fire) for made up reasons. Many of good employees that were well liked by their customers have suffered this fate. Really sad. The equipment you drive is old, below avg, barely D.O.T compliant, and leaves you broke down for many unpaid hours. A lot of this blame goes to our Truckshop Manager, nothing ever gets fixed, just codes reset. I really don't think the guy could run an Emissions Stand. Sorry so long, I'm an honest, hard working employee with many driving/customer service awards, just tired of the bs. Everything I have spoke of here is true, if you have options, choose another company to invest your future with. Good luck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sorry, I'm past that nonsense.

I have been working at US Foods

    Pros

Fellow Co workers. That is about it now.

    Cons

Went down hill after KKR bought us. And still going. Work your butt off and long hours only to have your own company steal from your chances to make profit. Knowing what I know I would not buy from them. Not food people, not customer friendly . 6 day a week work week. They suck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rember where you started and ask your self what can I do to make the folks making my pay check lives better.

I have been working at US Foods full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Money, if you don't want to have a life and I really do not consider this a pro.

    Cons

For a number one branch they sure have a lot of turn over and law suits ! They treat people like crap ! Way too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Do not train well and expect everything. I see it every day here. I really can go on and on but will spare you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I hope, with this merger, all the nasty lying mangers get what they deserve ! OUT OF WORK !!! This place will run better. Sysco has a lot of work on there hands and I hope that they are up for that ? If I were Sysco I would run too! I am as soon as possible and not looking back.
