    1. Pay is great. I got a 30% increase over my last position when I came on board
    2. Work is exciting and innovative
    3. People are really talented
    4. The chef's are always putting out food in the kitchen. Can also be a con though for your waist line.
    5. Work life balance is great
    6. For me the vacation is very relaxed. Take whenever I want. For others its not that easy.
    7. Right by CTA

    Cons

    1. One word - Sysco. I'm very disappointed in the "merger". We've been hearing stay positive. There is a place for everyone. I worry they aren't being as honest as they could be and our positions will be consolidated and depts moved to Houston. I hope what the Sysco & USF leadership team has been saying is sincenre and not lip service
    2. Commute is a bit long

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at US Foods full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

-Great benefits and great people to work for if you're in the right department.
-Truly understand that work is not life and try to accommodate as much as possible without impacting the entire department
-Would have stayed if I wasn't changing to an entirely different field

    Cons

I've heard some horror stories about other departments not having the best management or work environment. My department fortunately didn't have these problems.
Not enough communication between departments often felt like departments were competing against each other within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at departments that don't have a high rate of turnover to see what they are doing right and encourage departments to work together.
