I have been working at US National Archives and Records Administration as an intern

    Pros

    Had a great supervisor
    Easy work
Really good pay for the type of work you do
Earn Annual/Sick Leave, Credit Time, Time-off awards
Management gave you time off when you needed it
Management understood that school was your first priority
    Really good coworkers
    Set your own schedule
    No furloughs due to sequestration
    Standards are easy to accomplish

    Cons

    Hiring Freeze
    Same work all the time
Since interns are not considered to be in "competitive service" (enough though hiring was competitive) they cannot apply to internal job applications
