I worked at UTI full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

UTI treated its employees fairly and provided a nice work-life balance. They delivered on their education and has a proven track record while also being recognized by their Accrediting Body (ACCSC) as a school of excellence designation in 2014. maintaining the high. The greatest part of UTI was the people.

    Cons

There are not a lot of upward mobility unless willing to relocate to other campuses across the UTI network.

    I worked at UTI full-time

    Pros

The education your students get at UTI enables them to move into and excellent and promising career. The camaraderie is awesome as an employee and the pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Just like any admissions position... enrollments rule. When I was there, my Campus Director was more concerned about how many people I enrolled whether or not they started or completed the program. My retention rate was 98%. I usually hit my enrollment goal but when they drastically changed the lead policy I was let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When evaluating your reps, consider the bottom line and quality of enrollments, not just the number of students you get signed up. Enrollments don't put any beans on the table and last time I checked... UTI is a for-profit.

I have been working at UTI full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Let me think for myself and and give the support when I need it. They pay way above average for the industry. It is a great place to work and further my career.

    Cons

Benefits were revamp this last year and they are don't that great. Medical and retirement are not what they were....then again i think that is the common theme across the country.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keeping doing what you can to make UTI standout from the competition. We have a good thing going don't let typical corporate greed ruin it.

I worked at UTI full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Excellent management. Really listens to their team. Provided all the tools and training to be a successful Admissions Representative. Excellent promotion opportunities, great pay for hard work and results. Felt appreciated and justly compensated.

    Cons

Hard work - but for the right person this can be a very fun and rewarding job. Only - and I mean *only* thing is I would have liked a few more vacation days.... Some other similar companies offer more vacation time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know there are lots of ups and downs involved with education, financing, etc. so hang in there! I left to pursue a completely different career path and I truly miss this place! Could not ask for a better leader than Kim McWaters.
