    Encourages innovation and rewards interns.

    Cons

Flat company structure leaves very little room to grow professionally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase ways to grow peoples careers not just their salaries and stock options. Path to management is hard due to flat structure.

I worked at Ultimate Software full-time

    Pros

Benefits are amazing. They do take care of people via their benefits. People work hard and are dedicated to the organization and the vision of the company. Quarterly meetings with all employees are very good in keeping everyone informed of the progress of the company.

    Cons

Company has grown so fast over the last couple of years that the "family culture" is beginning to be affected. The growth is only now beginning to be structured. Because of the fast unstructured growth over the last couple of years, many people were impacted and moral started to drop and unfortunately, continuing to drop.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful of cronyism. It is beginning to be very prevalent in the organization and impacting the business.

    Pros

Company benefits are the best in the business. Didn't meet one person that wasn't friendly. Everyone is willing to help with whatever needs to be done. Many people work remotely, who doesn't like working from your kitchen table

    Cons

Phoenix division is new and not as organized as the rest of the company. I think after a few years things will settle down and fall into place

    Pros

Incredible benefits & great culture. Management promotes Work/Life balance and training. The company has grown from 1,075 to 2,000 in 4.5 years I've been there (2010 ~ 2014) and continues...

    Cons

If you are in a technical role, there is plenty of room for growth. However, if you are in Project Management or Process Improvement, the career path isn't defined, at least not yet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As the company continues to grow, there needs to be clear definition for career growth not just in the technical arena, but all areas.

    Best Benefits Around!

I worked at Ultimate Software full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Best benefits around - 401k match of 35% on entire contribution, medical and dental benefits paid 100% by company for employee and dependents. Very liberal telecommuting options.

    Cons

Company runs lean and has high expectations. Not necessarily a con/problem, if you enjoy a fast pace. If you're strictly a 9:00-5:00 worker, or a clock-watcher, this isn't the place for you!
