    Pros

Good discount on product both in store and on-line 50% off discount

    Cons

Management is laughable at best about being personable. No potential for growth or promotions Internal promotion is non-existent

    Advice to Management

Hire from within the company before you bring people from competitors. Learn to communicate clearly and concise between one another. Learn to talk to the people you are there to "manage"

    Pros

Cool company with great marketing. Huge growth and growth potential. "Coolness factor" high. Good resume' builder. Good benefits and sign-on if you aren't entry-level and have negotiating skills.

    Cons

Unreasonable expectations of workload (70-80 hours per week salaried). "Get it done at all costs" culture. Lack of systems (managing $250M+ desk in excel, no visibility to on-order inventory, etc.). Leadership not experienced at leading people, just good at their positions they manage. No processes or people who can develop processes. Lack of team integration (teams are very silo'd). Company still acts like a startup when they are a $3Bn company. Basically, it's like sausage: you like how it tastes, but don't want to see how it's made.

    Advice to Management

Invest in planning systems so your team isn't managing hundreds of millions in Excel. Have reasonable expectations for employee workload (50-55 hrs is ok, 70-80 is NOT). Implement and standardize processes and SOPs so UA isn't constantly reinventing the wheel. Invest in better training. Invest in leadership training. Invest in manpower so a job fit for 6 is being done by 6, not by 1 person. Stay "humble and hungry", don't maintain the attitude that talent that leaves must not matter or is bad talent.

    Pros

Excellent employee discount, excellent health benefits

    Cons

Poor management, very poor and a lot of favoritism. Middle aged people behaving like high school.

    Advice to Management

Advice to corporate-read these reviews. Clean house-poor management, in turn unhappy employees who are so afraid of losing their jobs, they won't speak up or stand up for themselves to these said managers.

    Pros

Fun work environment, huge campus, and wonderful, hard working people are found at UA. Those at the lower rungs work night and day and are invested fully in their careers and are passionate about their positions. Great for people who want to work hard, play hard.

    Cons

Minimal praise for hard work, management is under qualified, not great at promoting within, especially for executive jobs. The upper management is a complete boys club with little to no recognition of hard working lower level employees. Strong environment of work hard, or someone will take your spot. Management will threaten this constantly. Overall employee surveys are not satisfactory, company doesn't do much to boost moral. Little work/life balance, you are expected to completely be committed to your position with little to no room for anything else.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on how to take advantage of young 20-somethings and work on promoting within, for those that put the work in. Appreciate the employees you do have instead of trying to replace those who work hard for little benefit.

    I worked at Under Armour

    Pros

The work itself The shifts and days off Nice lunch area

    Cons

The only downsides is the management, the favoritism, unorganized with employees checks not keeping them filed correctly, not encouraging, no benefits

    Advice to Management

I worked at Under Armour Warehouse in Rialto, CA for about 4 months under an agency called BBSI. I have to say first that the work itself is very simple you learn fast the first day and the workers work together as a team. The management shows a lot of favoritism to the ones that are hired in to the company and the hired on workers treat the BBSI like they do not belong there. I see this very often at this warehouse and with me being under the agency I do not like the fact that they treat their agency employees like they are beneath the Under Armour workers. As far as I know they must need the workers because they are constantly posting on Craigslist that they are hiring everyday and need workers. It'd sad because I actually liked working at this warehouse but I do not agree with the favoritism that goes on in this company. There is a lot of know it all people here and Under armour will choose a couple of BBSI workers that they like and show favoritism to with no intention in hiring them on. They tell you that of you are a great worker they will hire you on. There has not been any agency workers that has been hired on through the agency BBSI. Sometimes it is slow at this warehouse where you are not guaranteed to work your full 40 hours so they tell you to not come in at all or come in later and of course this is only for the agency workers the hired on workers come in regardless and get their hours. If you are working full time and get your hours the hours to me is great. I worked Monday thru Thursday from 5am to 330 pm and got Fri Sat and Sun guaranteed. Overall this is it and the only downfall here is the mistreatment of the agency workers and favoritism. Promises to hire on workers when never planning to do so and there is no benefits within this company at all. My advice to Under Armour is to treat your employees with respect and equality just like you do with your other workers. Remember BBSI workers work hard even harder than your other workers so give them props and make your employees happy.

    Pros

    - Fun environment - Rapidly growing company

    Cons

    - Low pay rates - Lots of overtime expected

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees well. If they perform well show them that they're appreciated by fair compensation. Ex: More than 1% raise for an employee who gets a perfect review. This company is now worth $3 Billion...

    Pros

Great employee discount and great medical benefits. You get wear super comfy workout clothes to work everyday. You can get promoted from within the company.

    Cons

Doesn't have a great training program for managers, need a great, comprehensive training manual. More and more micromanaging of stores, taking managers away from running their stores. Horrible pay for what's expected. An extremely profitable company, making more money every year, that isn't sharing that growth with their employees.

    Advice to Management

Trust your leaders to lead their business. Excessive micromanaging is counterproductive. Make retail stores a priority, not an afterthought, as it was communicated at the yearly leadership conference last year.
