    Pros

-Global Company and Global Career Possibilities
-Approachable Leadership: Leadership cubes (yes, cubes) are within shouting distance of most employees
-Progressive Office Space: vibrant colors, low walls, comfortable space
-Work - Life Balance: Summer half-day Fridays, flexible work arrangements, casual work attire
-Easy Cross Functional Rapport: Office layout creates great hallway convo opportunities
-Consistent Availability of Company Information: Monday Real Time provides a good mix of news and information
    - Commitment to Social Causes: Sustainable business practices, menu nutrition

    Cons

-Little Brother to Unilever Retail in US: limited Supply Chain cost and scheduling flexibility
-Somewhat Limited Food Solution US Job Growth Possibilities: Your US corporate roles are limited due to flat org chart (Plus and Minus!)
US Leadership short term ex-pat contracts: You wonder if the relatively short contracts drive the short term "band-aid" approach over a longer term spend and implementation.

I have been working at Unilever as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

-Location, Chicago is a great city. Smaller office.

    Cons

The Foodsolutions division is somewhat of an afterthought in the broader conversation at Unilever. Completely sales driven environment: sales staff superfluously pass out subsidies to make a sale, thereby diminishing any brand value of Unilever's products.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people in Operations who actually know what they're doing. Hire people in Sales with some backbone and willingness to stand up for the company, rather than continuously bending over for the customer.

    Pros

I think that they are very diverse in their approch to the business envrionment and the business. Benefits package includes Domestic Partnership benefits. Big plus. Work life balance is important and they walk the talk.

    Cons

Middle management is basicly non-exsistant, so moving up at times can be difficult.
