    Pros

Unisys has a lot to offer me, but they are not fair about it. With that being said, pros would be my coworkers have a ton of experience and advice to offer. The company is knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. Work form home options, compensation when traveling, fair vacation and sick policies, and somewhat stable employment if assigned to good projects.

    Cons

Salary and incentives are terrible. One significant raise despite two significant promotions. Company is experiencing hardships, thus salary increases are infrequent/non-existent, layoffs, and there is too much overhead in terms of upper management (those who don't actually contribute to the bottom line or client relationships). Seems like the people that are actually making the company money are paid terrible. Company charges client way more than the actual employee doing the work will see. I've had four different HR managers, and only met two in person (none of which I worked with on a regular basis).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect and compensate employees who are actually contributing. increase salary for those who have done time, have contributed to the success of Unisys, and who have awesome performance and great reviews (especially those who have reviews from clients and coworkers). When your valued employees are complaining, you know the company is doing something wrong.

    Pros

OK in all departments. Can do better when it comes to treating their employees.

    Cons

Salaries are low, not market standards.
Management is rigid, not open for newer technologies. Need to open eyes and let young and fresh minds take over.
Brown noser will of-course move fast upwards and go places.
Executives are fearful and insecure of their positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to open eyes and let young and fresh minds take over.
Let bright ideas come in and let people be creative.

    Pros

--Unisys is a large global company with many oppourtunities, as long as relocation was an option.
--One of the few companies that offer a pension and 401k retirement options.
    --Unisys makes available needed training.

    Cons

--They are considered an outsourcing provider, or at least the division I worked for, but in reality it was nothing more than taking a cut of profit for staffing us there, just like any other contractor.
--You are at the mercy of the parent hiring company you work for. This position was with Eli Lilly & Co.
--Contractors are not treated all that well at Lilly, in fact some managers let it be known that you can be gone in '3 clicks and a few keystrokes' LOL, so if you are hired by Unisys to work at Lilly, work here at your own risk.

    Pros

Flexible work environment, Good HR Practices, Initial Compensation offered is good as per industry standard.

    Cons

Old and myopic management who have lost track of what is happening around and where the industry is heading ! Negative politics and resistance towards outsourcing which leads to cost inflation and subsequently looses grounds to the other players in the industry who substantially outsources work to offer a very competitive price to it's clientele. Marketing style is that of the mid-80's. Employees are not trained on new stuff, especially when the industry is going through lot of paradigm shifts. Creativity and new ideas are seldom awarded and adopted !

Former Employee - Customer Engineer 6 in San Juan, PR

    Pros

Many experience in different fields within Customer Engineering.

    Cons

Unfortunate there wasn't any change within salary wise even if you cover so many side positions within the same company. And if you try to add to a resume It can be confusing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you switch an employ from one field to another you should consider giving them the option of returning.

Stable (Generally) if you do a decent job.
Ability to work remotely for most clients.

Draconian and repeated cost cutting efforts make raises and merit bonuses non-existent.
Low capture rate for new business...limits movement options internally.
