I have been working at United Airlines

    Pros

Love my job. Love working with the people. Enjoy designing a program that employees want.

    Cons

Only person besides my director that understand wellness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This position should be 2 grade levels up. This position design and operates the job so no passing it off to another person. Does not operate like others.

I have been working at United Airlines (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I would maybe the only and the obvious reason: great fligth benefits, that can take you almost anywhere in the world.

    Cons

Too stressful, specially on the high seasons like summertime, when kids are out of school... High volume of work, and not enough manpower resources...

I have been working at United Airlines part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, I can work as much as I want or as little as the minimum required hours per month. Great coworkers, so many that you don't get to know them all, but everyone is very friendly.
I work in Houston in the international arrivals area and I get to see and meet many people from all over the world. Travel benefits are great.

    Cons

They have a points system for sick days and tardies, the amount is only 6 or 7 a year, if you use them all you are fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more available and listen to your frontline employees, we really have a lot of control of the first impression the customers get, so don' t make us be grumpy unhappy employees.

I worked at United Airlines full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Flight benefits were awesome and for some reason I could almost get on the flights most of the times. The work environment was very friendly even when we had bad days i.e. storms in Chicago that disrupted the flights.

    Cons

The pay was not great especially if you were brand new but they had a pay scale that rewarded you at your 10th anniversary. Never made it though, my office in LA closed after 09/11.
