Very Demanding of its employees, but can be very rewarding on many levels

    Branch Manager (Current Employee)

ProsCompensation, benifits, diversity of responsability, not boring

ConsInconsistancy with accountability, functions like a bunch of different companies vs one at times

Advice to Senior ManagementWork life balance is off with regards to my possition many hour spent trying to move an operation in differant directions all of the time. Overall goal is clear, but to much change in too short a period of time. Also it is pretty obvious that sr management is most concerned with share holders not customers contrary to what they comunicate.

    Always wanting more

    Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee)

ProsDays go by really fast... Worked out of a few different branches now and every one of them was extraordinarily busy. Have met a lot of great people and friends through working here.

ConsMost of the reason that days go by fast is that management goes with a bare bones staff at every branch almost to a T. I have worked out of a few locations and you always felt swamped and when you talked to other branches they would always say the same thing. Training program is terrible, no real way to learn what it is that you are actually selling. In order to move up, you are likely going to have to move around a lot.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter training program, higher pay.

It's a job and it keeps the bills paid

Operations Technician (Current Employee) Southaven, MS

ProsMost of the people you work with are great. At the branch level it is almost like a family and that makes for a great work environment.

ConsThe insurance plan is sub par. I don't know if that is the company's fault or the provider. They tell you to go to minor med but when you do, you get a bill because the copayment doesn't cover you being seen.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe opportunities for advancement seem to be reserved for the "buddies" of management and it is something that should really be looked into.

    Not bad

    Employee (Former Employee) Fayetteville, AR

ProsGood pay, good benefits, mostly new equipment. Good hours. Equipment rental is easy & sometimes free if you've done a great job.

ConsNot easy to work with other employees that are 2 faced. Corporate policies are ridiculous. Stress level is pretty high. Not a job for the faint of heart.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat employees like people & not like dogs. Corporate needs an overhaul. I don't see this business improving until an overhaul has been done with management.

    Rewarding

    Director (Current Employee) Tampa, FL

ProsOpportunities to assume additional responsibilities were always there and encouraged. The challenges of expansion were exciting.

ConsWorkload and expectations to get things done with minimum resources were a drain on me and my group. IT systems were inadequate.

Advice to Senior ManagementUR needs to upgrade its main system platform if it is to expand its market share.

You can make a lot of money, but you do it by jumping from one crisis to another.

Service Tech IV (Former Employee) Mickleton, NJ

ProsDifferent stuff every day, lots (!LOTS) of overtime, interesting situations.

ConsAs an operations (driver or technician) employee, it is easy to get the feeling that corporate wishes they could just subcontract your entire department. Only sales and management get any recognition or development, and it can be very challenging to move from ops to sales. Also, when you rely on overtime, things like vacations or illnesses can devastate your income. You will always be running two steps behind, without the proper training or tools to do the job right.

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognize the profit potential and brand potential from doing a better job on the operations side of the house!

Decent place to work, as long as you stay to yourself, and stick up for yourself

    Outside Sales Representative (Former Employee)

    ProsLargest in the industry,
Lots of availability to move while staying at the company.

ConsExperiences can vary wildly from branch to branch.
Generally understaffed for expected business growth on logistical side.
In my experience mid and upper management will not return phone calls unless emergency.
Definately have to watch your back, they will let people go very quickly.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdd more support staff, or cool down the growth projections, with the other metrics every branch is required to meet, their are not enough people employed to make everything work at that level.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
