    Be ready to work

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsGreat Pay
    Ok Benefits
    Great Co-workers
Wonderful opportunities if you are in sales or marketing management

ConsToo many political competing agendas at the top
Its the Titanic - hard to get things done, not flexible enough
Ops jobs are thankless for the lower positions, ok for sups and management
Lack of diversity at the top

Advice to Senior ManagementLoosen the reigns and trust your associates to make the right decisions for United and the customer. Having to negotiate through a complicated approval matrix of individuals that are tough to track down makes it hard to get things done. I hope your fix that.

    Big company

    Social Media Manager (Former Employee)
    Deerfield, IL

ProsBenefits are a huge plus. Good working environment. Great people.

ConsCube farm. It's such a big and slow moving company, it's hard to move up "the ladder" quickly, or even get projects completed (and on your resume).

Advice to Senior ManagementMany are there to "rest and vest." Need to look into improving the company culture forward.

    An okay company

    Warehouse Worker (Current Employee)
    Cranbury, NJ

    ProsRelatively good pay.
Company gives back to the community

    ConsNo work-life balance
Company doesn't care much about the welfare of employees

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs extensive training on human relations and a better knowledge of what needs to be done. At times, some of the managers look lost and out of place.

    Company just okay

    Channel Marketing Associate (Current Employee)
    Deerfield, IL

ProsCoworkers are nice, PTO is convenient, 401k is okay.
They are finally investing some resources internally, but at the expense of letting others go. So we're expected to do more with less which I understand, but when we start sacrificing customer service, that is a problem.

ConsCan't work from home, limited internal advancement. Making investments internally but not always investing in the right way.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees! The working world is changing. You need to adapt and let us be more flexible so you can retain us longer.

Decent company to work for but don't expect too much

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Woburn, MA

ProsPay was good for the type of work. Benefits "were" decent. Ability to work around your schedule if needed at times. Vacation time was fair. 401k

ConsCompany has shown less and less care for workers in previous years. Freezing pensions and lowering top salary. Health benefits have changed and now cost more for less coverage.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop taking benefits away or making them worse. There is only so much a certain amount of people can do. If you keep cutting in departments the quality of work will go down and the injuries will go up.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
