Work/Life Balance and work-from-home are some pros

    Cons

High management turnover rate. Seems to be someone new every couple of years.

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great Management team, base salary and benefits, flexible life balance during the slow season

    Cons

More ideal year round for a bilingual candidate which I am not. My territory was moved due to where I reside, not due to my success in the area I was working. The company does not generate leads for inhouse reps anymore. The most successful reps get leads from other companies or buy leads lists

I worked at UnitedHealth Group full-time

    Pros

Plenty of challenges and opportunities in this fast paced company. Company is working to unify its culture. People are great to work with and many standards/processes are well defined.

    Cons

Many changes in healthcare due to government regulations. This sometime causes long hours and changing deadlines.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to lead in Healthcare Innovation. Continue to work on unifying the culture.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I enjoy being able to work from home from time to time. If you consistently go beyond the scope of duty, there are opportunities for small bonuses. Management is clear about their expectations and also understanding of life outside of work.

    Cons

There have been several reorganizations and layoffs during the past couple of years. As with any large corporation, there can sometimes be too many hoops to jump through in order to get things accomplished.

    Pros

    Cons

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group

    Pros

This used to be a great small company, and still is. Good people, great location, good pay. There's a lot of work to go around.

    Cons

it was bought out awhile ago and the integration is definitely having an impact. Sometimes the work load is too much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be on the same page. Upper and middle management both can't tell workers different things since it's setting up the employees to fail.

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

No state holidays but generous paid time off allowances. Management are nice though a little disorganized. Work is challenging but they do consider work life balance. They truly care for their members and are not greedy.

    Cons

Health benefits are supposedly not good but I think they're okay. People are not held accountable for actions making progress slow. Pay raises are infrequent and low. Work gets piled on capable employees. Burn-out seems common.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more staff, especially efficient ones. Make people accountable to promote efficiency. Assess and divvy employee work loads to prevent burn-outs and frequent employee turn-overs.
