    Pros

Great learning environment, management is very receptive to staff needs and concerns, top notch institution.

    Cons

The only downside I can think of would be the pay rate being so small.

    Pros

Good environment Decent health benefits with company providers. Cafeteria/food service is fantastic

    Cons

Disorganized manager Hospitals and healthcare providers should offer health insurance to all employees, even those working part time.

    Pros

Pay and benefits are great. There is room for career growth with education opportunities provided.

    Cons

Management is always changing. There is always a shortage in staff or miss managed schedules. Employees are left to figure things out on their own especially in night shift.

  8. Great place to learn and grow

I worked at University Health System

    Pros

Serving the medically underserved population. Working with students could be a pro or con for others. I enjoyed working with students. Great staff and colleagues.

    Cons

Worked long hours & seems they want to squeeze every ounce of you for that job. Lots of layers of management. Non-clinicians telling clinicians what to do. Overall would still recommend working there.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to all employees.

  9. Overall it has been good, but I believe that is due to the people that I have the pleasure of working with.

    Pros

Mainly the people, most are very friendly. The hours that are offered are also very nice. Since I am still in school during the mornings, I work second shift without any issues.

    Cons

Due to a hiring freeze there are some days that we are shorthanded in the lab. This same reason also means that its easily possible to rack up way more than 40 hours a week, especially if working weekends. That can be a con or a pro depending on how you see it.

    Advice to Management

Please try to hire more people so that all the shifts can be adequately covered. Otherwise the hospital is ran very well. Can't wait for the new tower to open.

It's a great place to start, you learn a lot

    Cons

If you don't have the right answers to questions don't bother

    Advice to Management

Give the people a chance when they are trying.

    Pros

The benefits are good, pay is average. You get to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds, there is always overtime available.

    Cons

Really,if you enjoy working in an extremely fast-paced ER, then there aren't many cons. Compared to other companies I have worked for, the training is very short.
