Pros – UF is a land, sea, and air grant university in the wonderful town of Gainesville. It is an AAU member with one of the largest student populations in the US and degrees in essentially every academic discipline.
Cons – UF is a state agency so tuition rates and other key decisions are out of their control although efforts continue to liberate UF from some of these constraints. Its size is also a liability and each college and the various departments supporting the university across campus work somewhat independently and things can take a long time to work their way through.
Advice to Senior Management – It would be great if they could get on the same page and let everyone know where that page is.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
