    Pros

Good benefits, decent salary, exciting work environment.

    Cons

Low level support personnel have punitive workloads that border on abusive. The current governor has declared war on the union and he is seeking to freeze our pay raises and slash our benefits packages, as well as severely restricting our rights to collective bargaining. Employees who leave aren't being replaced, only adding to the burden on support staff.

    Advice to Management

Get back to your mission of providing quality patient care instead of being driven by profit.

    Pros

Good Benefits, Flexible Scheduling, Iowa City is a beautiful place to live

    Cons

Poor communication between management and employment, too many high level administrators and not nearly enough people working.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate the people who actually do the work.

    Pros

Benefits. They are very good and help off set the lower salaries. Environment is nice. People are friendly. Allowed to take time off as needed.

    Cons

The financial situation is going downhill fast. Salary reductions, job cuts, and unpaid days off make this less of an interesting place to work.

    Advice to Management

Balance your budget. The University continues to spend money at a rate that can't be sustained. This causes the employees to have to suffer when the budget comes up short.
