I have been working at University of Kent

    Pros

Nice facilities and a beautiful campus. The university offers good opportunity for other training. The other staff are generally friendly. Nice location in Canterbury.

    Cons

Poor management and even poorer communication between departments. People are often stuck on minute details they forget about the person and circumstances involved. All about who you know not how you perform. Many times people seem incapable of doing anything that isn't directly within their job description nor do they point you in the right direction.

    Advice to Management

Work on communicating between departments. Train your staff in customer service and in how to find out information even if outside of their job description.
